Masrour Barzani's Message: Transparency, honesty, and frankness
By Farhad Mohammed

Since his inauguration as prime minister, Masrour Barzani has defined himself as a servant of his people. His leadership philosophy differs from traditional philosophy and aims to serve people first. In this new equation, good governance means the interaction between two movements: the rationality of institutions and the movement that people make alongside government steps.

Barzani explicitly told us that the interaction between the institutional movement and the citizen movement creates a balance between government actions within the framework of the government as a whole. Citizens consider themselves part of the government and do not separate themselves from it, and therefore, when the government makes a decision, people take it and consider it their decision. For example, during the shutdown due to COVID-19, both the government and the people cooperated and did a good job to prevent the virus from spreading.
In general, the coronavirus has dire consequences for all people in the world and creates an economic crisis in countries that depend on oil as mere income for their people. Since our country rely most heavily on oil with roughly %90 GDP depending on oil and with the drop of oil prices, and as Baghdad decided to cut the salaries of KRG employees, our government faces challenges.

In his message, the Prime Minister speaks honestly with his people and clarifies the situation. But he dares to say that with the help and cooperation of people, they will overcome difficulties and overcome the crisis. The roadmap to overcome this crisis is to obtain different ways of income and rewrite an economic plan that strengthens the industrial sector. Moreover, support the agricultural sector to increase the product.

Finally, it can be said that the Prime Minister explains all the obstacles and problems facing the people. But he did so courageously like the successful leaders in history who built their country and became charismatic leaders who could open the door to hope in crises.
