Government denies attack at Baghdad International
The Iraqi Transport Ministry denied a rocket attack at Baghdad International Airport and stated that no interruptions of air traffic occurred.

Several media had reported stories about an attack with four Katyusha-style rockets at Baghdad International this morning.

"But we contacted the airport authority about the news that some media published and they denied it," Karim Nouri, an adviser at the Transport Ministry, said.

Baghdad International was also the site of the large U.S. base Camp Victory which was handed over to Iraqi authorities nearly two weeks ago. Camp Victory had been attacked by rockets on a regular basis.
