The extraordinary session of Kurdistan Region Parliament to discuss the exchange of the Parliamentary Presidency posts ,kicked off on Wednesday, February 15, 2012.

Dr. Kamal Kirkuk , Speaker of the Parliament headed the session which was attended by his deputy Dr. Arsalan Baez as well as all political parties represented in the Parliament.

Opposition members of the Parliament asked Speaker of parliament, to explain the reasons for his resignation and the exchange of government posts .

Opposition MPs walked out of the session because they believe that the exchange of positions is just to carry out the strategic agreement between the ruling parties , which was criticized by the opposition parties.
