A British archaeological team in cooperation with the archeological directorate in Sulaimani, has , a number of ancient antiquities in the Bestan Sur village in Sharazor district in the province of Sulaimani.

According to British archaeologists, these antiquities reveal the stages and styles of human life in the era of hunting and gathering, and down to the era of agricultural crops production.
