Iraq's March oil sales highest since 1989
Iraq's oil sales of more than $8bn last month were the highest since 1989, with exports totaling almost 72 million barrels of oil.
Oil Ministry spokesman Assem Jihad said sales reached $8.472bn (9.8tr IQD) and the country exported 71.8 million barrels.

The last time Iraq reached such a sales volume was 1989, added Jihad.

The price per barrel was $117.99 (137,500 IQD), with barrels sold through 27 oil companies at Basra and Jihan ports.

February's sales came in at $6.595m (7.6tr IQD), with exports amounting to 58.4 million barrels.
