Vice President Hashemi's trial postponed for hearing plantiffs
The Iraqi judiciary has postponed the trial of Vice President Tareq al-Hashemi on terrorism charges until he has heard the testimony of the personal plaintiffs, including National Alliance member Mona al-Amiri.
Hashemi'e lawyer Tareq Harb said: "The judge has postponed the trial to complete hearing the testimony of the personal plaintiffs."

The Central Criminal Court has postponed the trial of al-Hashemi twice already after the submission of a request from Hashemi's defense team to appeal the case.

Three charges are attributed to Hashemi - the alleged assassination of the general manager in the Department of Homeland Security, an officer in the Ministry of Interior and female lawyer.

Harb did not comment further.
