Iraq's Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari has called on Brazilian companies to participate in the country's annual international exhibition in Baghdad in November.

The invitation came during a meeting between Zebari and the envoy of the Brazilian government and its representative in the Middle East Milantonio Cesario, said a statement from Iraq's Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The statement quoted the envoy saying that holding the Arab-Latin summit demonstrates the importance of Latin-Arab relations and the extent of convergence between the two.

Cesario expressed the desire of Brazilian companies to work in Iraq in all fields to enhance the cooperation between the two countries.

Earlier this week Iraqi Deputy Prime Minister for Energy Hussein al-Shahristani said Iraq is ready to supply crude oil to Brazil after an increase in oil production during the past few months.
