The Kurdistan Region's President Massoud Barzani has approved the general amnesty law, said an advisor of the parliament’s speaker.
Tareq Jawhar said the Kurdistan parliament approved the law on June 7 and sent it to the region's presidency office.

After the approval of the law, the president returned the law to parliament with a letter.

The law will take effect once it has been published in Kurdistan's al-Waqae paper.
