PM Maliki warns of reflection of political crisis on country's security
Iraq's Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki has warned of the reflection of the current political crisis on the country's security following the death of dozens of civilians in bomb attacks.
According to a statement from the PM's office, Maliki met with a number of commanders of army brigades and police to discuss the latest developments in the security situation.

Maliki said: "There should not be relaxation or negligence from our troops in the performance of their duties against terrorists.

"Security is the gateway to achieve all our ambitions and aspirations of the Iraqi citizens and we should make way for the construction of the establishment of a modern and stable state."

Yesterday over 80 civilians, soldiers and policemen were killed and dozens more were injured in a spate of bombings.

The political crises erupted again in Iraq after the request of Iraqiya List, the Kurdish Blocs Coalition, the Sadrist Movement and other party members to withdraw confidence from Maliki.
