Turkish planes shelled villages in Qandil mountains in Warte district in the Kurdistan Region three times early this morning.

District director Kuwestan Ahmed said Turkish planes shelled Zargale and Bokriskan villages and some areas in Qandil mountains from 12:20am until 12:50am.

The villages were temporarily evacuated because of shelling that caused concern among villagers, said Ahmed.

No casualties were reported, added the source.
