In a statement published in Kurdish, the Kurdistan Region Presidency condemned Saturday's attack on the demonstrators in the City of Mosul last Friday which resulted in the death of a citizen and wounded others.

"We strongly condemn the continuation of these attacks and killings and reiterate our unwavering and steadfast position that violence and armed conflict will not only hurt everyone but will also undermine efforts for a peaceful resolution of the problem,” the statement read.

The statement concluded by extending condolences to the families of the victims and wishing a speedy recovery for the injured.
