Salahaddin, Kurdistan Region of Iraq (KRP.org) – In a letter to Iraq’s Independent High Electoral Commission (IHEC), President Barzani has conveyed the Kurdistan Region Presidency’s decision that presidential and parliamentary elections in the Kurdistan Region must be held before September 8th, 2013.

The Region’s last presidential and parliamentary elections were held in the July of 2009.
