Russian Consulate hosted President of Kurdistan, Masoud Barzani and numbers of Kurdish officials yesterday to celebrate Russia’s National Day.

In his speech, Russian ambassador spoke about the importance of this day for people of Russia. He also welcomed President Barzani and the guests attending the events.

The Russian Federation was one of the first countries to open a consulate in the Kurdistan Region in November 2007.
