Kurdistan President Masoud Barzani and Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov discussed a wide range of issues of political developments and issues of cooperation within the meeting on Thursday in Russia.

Kurdistan President Barzani in Official trip has attended in Russia for St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.

President of Kurdistan-Region Massoud Barzani held talks on the political developments with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov on the sidelines of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum in Russia.

The two sides stressed the depth of historical relations between the two sides.

The Russian Committee thanked the Kurdistan Regional Government for their support and cooperation with the Russian consulate in Erbil and confirmed their Government's support to development projects in Kurdistan.

On the issues in Iraq, the Mr Lavrov welcomed the developments and recent meetings between the two sides where President Barzani thanked the Russian leader for their warm welcome and reception.

The meeting also discussed the latest developments in the region and particularly the Syrian issue and they discussed the development of economic relations, investment and humanitarian.
