President of Kurdistan, Masoud Barzani yesterday July 11, 2013, accepted numbers of laws, among them the June 30’s decision of Parliament for extending the term of the current parliamentary cabinet of Kurdistan Region from August 20th until November 1st.

Barzani endorsed numbers of laws and decisions of the Parliament of Kurdistan among them, the law of the right to access information; the law of investigators privileges of the Federal Court; the Law of accounting the Federal University Service in Kurdistan province; and the law of participants in the Kurdish liberation movement not being responsible in terms of sanctions.

According to that decision of Kurdistan Region Parliament, the parliamentary elections of the region will take place on September 21st, but the current cabinet will continue until November 1st. During that time, the new elected parties (the winners in the elections) will have time for forming the new cabinet.

So far, President Barzani has not announced his decision about extension of his mandate by parliament.
