Continuing his meetings with political leaders in the Kurdistan Region, President Nechirvan Barzani visited the headquarters of three political parities in Erbil on Tuesday, including the Kurdistan Workers and Toilers Party, the Kurdistan Communist Party and the Kurdistan Toilers Party.

At the meetings, attended by Vice President Mustafa Sayed Qadir, the latest developments in the Kurdistan Region and Iraq, challenges facing the country, drafting of the constitution, and relations between the Kurdistan Region and the Iraqi Federal Government were highlighted.

The political parties valued the role of President Nechirvan Barzani and the Kurdistan Region Presidency in bringing together all political parties and communities in the Kurdistan Region, and reiterated the importance of unity and consensus among all sides in order to safeguard the constitutional rights of the Kurdistan Region and its people.

The political parties expressed their views on current affairs in the country and affirmed their full cooperation and support to the efforts of President Nechirvan Barzani and the Presidency of the Kurdistan Region aimed at achieving unity through dialogue and consensus.

For his part, the President stressed that the Kurdistan Region Presidency, in cooperation and coordination with institutions, parties and all communities in the Kurdistan Region, will continue its efforts aimed at achieving unity and resolving the pending issues. The President also expressed his appreciation for the support from the parties and communities to the efforts of the presidency, stressing that the Kurdistan Region will remain a land of peaceful coexistence and freedom.
