Drone attacks in Al-Omar oil field in Syria and in Ain Al-Assad Air Base in Iraq

The Syrian Democratic Forces announced that they had dealt with hostile attacks by drones, in the Al-Omar field area in Deir ez-Zor, noting that initial reports confirm the failure of the attacks and the absence of damage.

The SDF said in a statement tweeted by the Director of the Media Center of the Syrian Democratic Forces, Farhad Shami, today, Wednesday, that "At 10:15 a.m local time, our anti-Daesh forward forces & Coalition forces foiled hostile drone attacks against al-Omar field. Initial reports confirm the thwarting of the attacks & no damages were recorded."

On the other hand, today, Wednesday, the Ain al-Assad base, which includes US forces in western Iraq, was attacked by missiles, causing casualties.

The Iraqi army said in a statement that the attack on this base, where American forces are located in Anbar province, used 7 missiles.

"At approx. 12:30 PM local time, Ain Al-Assad Air Base was attacked by 14 rockets. The rockets landed on the base & perimeter. Force protection defensive measures were activated. At this time initial reports indicate 3 minor injuries. Damage is being assessed," the coalition spokesperson Col. Wayne Marotto twitted.
