On Saturday, the prime minister of the Kurdistan Regional Government, Masrour Barzani, received Khamis Khanjar, Secretary General of the Arab Project and Chairman of the Azim Coalition.

The meeting discussed the general political and security situation in Iraq, the relations between the Kurdistan Region and the federal government, and the importance of resolving fundamental issues on the basis of the constitution.

In another part of the meeting, the next elections to the Iraqi Council of Representatives were discussed, emphasizing the need for free and fair elections and for the rights and aspirations of all Iraqi constituents.
