Kurdistan Region President Nechirvan Barzani and his accompanying delegation met with the All Party Parliamentary Group on Kurdistan during a banquet in London on Wednesday.

President Nechirvan Barzani shared his observations on the current situation in the Kurdistan Region, Iraq and the wider region. The President expressed his views, and that of the Kurdistan Region, on ways to resolve lingering differences, and referred to the steps taken so far to maintain regional security and stability.

The President stressed that the Kurdistan Region will always remain a factor of security and stability, and is willing to solve all its disputes with the Iraqi federal government through dialogue and on the basis of the constitution. The President praised the support from the UK All Party Parliamentary Group on Kurdistan and from the UK government to the Kurdistan Region.

For their part, the UK All Party Parliamentary Group on Kurdistan expressed their satisfaction with the relations between the Kurdistan Region and the United Kingdom, and pledged to continue supporting the Kurdistan Region and its constitutional rights.

Discussions also covered the latest developments in the wider region and other issues of mutual interest.
