President Barzani's message about the success of the electoral process
In the name of God, the most gracious, the most merciful
On the occasion of the success of the Iraqi parliament elections process and the success of the Kurdistan Democratic Party, I extend my congratulations and blessings to the people of Kurdistan.
I congratulate the cadres, members and supporters of the Kurdistan Democratic Party who were able, through a calm civilized competition, to ensure the great success of the Kurdistan Democratic Party and its approach, and to comfort the souls of the martyrs.
The success of the Kurdistan Democratic Party in these elections means the success of the principles and values on which the struggle of the people of Kurdistan is based, and its victory is a message to all parties confirming that the people of Kurdistan will not abandon their history and values in any circumstance. The Kurdistan Democratic Party's victory should also motivate officials, party cadres and members to provide the best services to the people, and not to forget Barzani's valuable advice, which is "Do not be arrogant about winning, and do not be disappointed with setbacks."
On this occasion, I would also like to thank the High Elections Commission, the security services, and all concerned parties in the Kurdistan Region and the Federal Republic of Iraq for their dedication and vigilance, which led to the success of the Iraqi Parliament elections and more strongly at their hands. We also highly appreciate the role of Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi in conducting the elections.
The success of the elections is the success of the people’s administration and democracy. Therefore, I hope that the Kurdish parties will unite their ranks, work together, and complement each other for a common goal that is in the supreme interest of Kurdistan, defending the rights and achievements of the people of Kurdistan, and building relations between the Kurdistan Region and the Federal Iraq on the basis of true partnership.
Once again, I thank the people of Kurdistan, especially the steadfast and loyal brothers and sisters in Kirkuk, the heart of Kurdistan.
