Prime Minister Masrour Barzani on Monday met with Lithuanian Foreign Minister Gabrielius Landsbergis, to discuss the latest developments in Iraq and bilateral relations with the European nation.

PM Barzani highlighted the KRG’s ongoing efforts working with EU countries to tackle the migrant crisis and shutdown smuggling network that are fueling illegal migration.

He also noted the KRG will continue facilitating the safe and voluntary return of migrants.

Minister Landsbergis thanked the KRG for its cooperation and expressed his country’s readiness to develop relations with the KRG in several areas, including education.
