We strongly condemn the terrorist drone attack on Erbil, the capital of the Kurdistan Region, on Wednesday night, which injured a number of civilians and damaged several vehicles.

The Kurdistan Region Presidency believes that the repetition of such terrorist acts will harm the security and political stability of Iraq and the wider region, and will serve the adversaries of the Kurdistan Region and Iraq.

The Presidency of the Kurdistan Region reaffirms support for further strengthening of cooperation between the security institutions of the Kurdistan Region and the Iraqi federal government in order to find those people and sides who are responsible for these assaults. We urge relevant institutions of Iraq and the international community to exert efforts and take serious steps to prevent the repeat of such attacks, which will undoubtedly have a significant influence on the stability of the wider region.
