Continuing his meetings in Baghdad, President Nechirvan Barzani met this evening with the chairman of the Popular Mobilization Force, Mr. Falih Al-Fayyadh.

The meeting addressed the latest security developments in the country and the threats posed by ISIS terror network.

Both sides stressed the need to expand cooperation and coordination among the Peshmerga, Iraqi army and security forces to combat the threat of ISIS, especially in the areas of Article 140 and to eliminate it completely.

Protecting the security, political stability and sovereignty of the country and strengthening cooperation and joint responsibility of the political parties and Iraqi communities for this purpose were highlighted. Discussions also focused on the recent bombing and targeting of the Kurdistan Region by neighboring countries.
