President Nechirvan Barzani received a congratulatory letter from Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu on the occasion of Nawroz, the Kurdish New Year.

In his letter, Mr. Çavuşoğlu offers congratulations to President Nechirvan Barzani, and refers to Nawroz as a factor that enhances bonds of friendship and brotherhood, and as a symbol of renewal, rebirth, and joy, which has throughout history represented the human interaction with nature.

Mr. Çavuşoğlu indicated that his country celebrates Nawroz this year with sadness due to the earthquake in early February, thanking President Nechirvan Barzani for his visit to Turkey, his inspection of the areas affected by the earthquake, and his expression of solidarity with the victims.

At the end of his letter, the Turkish Foreign Minister hopes for peace and prosperity for Turkey and the world, and good health, happiness and well being for President Nechirvan Barzani and the people of the Kurdistan Region.
