In a recent announcement, the Ministry of Trade and Industry in the Kurdistan Region revealed that they have successfully received an impressive amount of 445,000 tons of wheat from the region's diligent farmers. According to a statement issued by the ministry, the process of collecting wheat from farmers is ongoing, with designated "silos" serving as the primary receiving centers. As of Friday, July 7, 2023, the cumulative amount of wheat received reached 445,680 tons and 240 kilograms. This harvest has been sourced from the governorates of Sulaymaniyah, Erbil, and Dohuk.

A detailed breakdown of the wheat distribution within the respective governorates was provided by the ministry. Dohuk Governorate accounted for 113,356 tons and 260 kilograms of the total received amount. In Erbil Governorate, the figure stood at 114,702 tons and 38 kilograms. Notably, Sulaymaniyah Governorate contributed the largest share, with an impressive 217,621 tons and 600 kilograms of wheat received.
