In a significant meeting held today, His Excellency President Nechirvan Barzani of the Kurdistan Region received His Beatitude Cardinal Louis Sako, the Patriarch and Head of the Chaldean Church in Iraq and the world, along with a delegation accompanying him.

The meeting addressed the recent decision by the Presidency of the Republic of Iraq concerning the Chaldean Church. President Nechirvan Barzani emphasized the importance of maintaining Iraq, including the Kurdistan Region, as a unified and inclusive home for all religious and national components. He expressed hope that the President of the Federal Republic of Iraq would take prompt action to resolve the matter.
