Iran's Defense Ministry unveiled a new drone on Tuesday, named the Mohajer-10, bearing a striking resemblance to the United States' armed MQ-9 Reaper drone. The announcement was made during a conference marking Defense Industry Day, where Iranian officials showcased the drone's capabilities, including its impressive 24-hour flight endurance and the potential to reach Israel.

Iran's state-run news agency, IRNA, released a photograph of the Mohajer-10 on display at the event. The image revealed the drone enveloped in a cloud of smoke-machine fog, adding to the dramatic unveiling. "Mohajer" translates to "immigrant" in Farsi, and this line of drones has been manufactured by the Islamic Republic since 1985.

According to IRNA, the Mohajer-10 has the capacity to operate at altitudes of up to 24,000 feet, boasting a speed of 210 kilometers per hour (130 mph). It can carry a significant bomb payload of up to 300 kilograms (660 pounds) and is also adaptable for electronic surveillance equipment and equipped with a camera for reconnaissance purposes.

President Ebrahim Raisi, known for his hard-line stance and close association with Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, personally inspected the drone during the event. He used the occasion to emphasize Iran's technological advancements and its readiness to demonstrate its capabilities to the world.

"Today, we can firmly introduce Iran as an advanced and technologically proficient nation to the world," President Raisi declared during his speech, which was broadcast on state television. He reiterated Iran's commitment to maintaining friendly relations with all countries but issued a stern warning regarding any threats to the nation's sovereignty.

Raisi stated, "Iran is open to friendly relations with all countries in the world. However, our armed forces stand ready to defend our homeland, and we will firmly respond to any hand that reaches out in an attempt to invade Iran."

The unveiling of the Mohajer-10 comes at a time of heightened tensions in the region, with Iran's ongoing disputes with neighboring countries, including Israel, remaining a significant source of concern for international observers.
