"It is with great sadness that I have received the news of the passing away of the prominent Chaldean religious figure of Kurdistan, Raban Hasqiel Raban al-Qas, the Bishop of the Chaldean Church.
The late Raban Hasqiel Raban al-Qas played a significant role in spreading the culture of religious and ethnic coexistence in Kurdistan and supporting the legitimate cause of the Kurdish people. I extend my condolences to his family and Christian brothers and sisters in Kurdistan and around the world.
