Ceremony to Commemorate Victim of Iranian Attack in Erbil Set for January 25

A ceremony is scheduled for Thursday, January 25, to honor the memory of Zhina Peshraw Dzeyi, the 11-month-old toddler tragically killed in the recent Iranian missile attack on Erbil. The commemorative event will begin at 4:30 pm (Erbil Time) at the location where the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) carried out the missile strike.

Zhina Peshraw Dzeyi lost her life on the night of November 15 during the IRGC's missile assault on Erbil, which also claimed the lives of a prominent businessman, his 11-month-old daughter, and two other civilians. Additionally, six individuals sustained injuries in the attack.

The Iranian military action has garnered widespread condemnation both locally and internationally. Communities across the Kurdistan Region have demonstrated solidarity with Erbil, condemning the Iranian aggression. Recent days have witnessed mass demonstrations in cities and towns throughout the region, expressing support for Erbil and denouncing the missile attack.

The commemoration ceremony on January 25 aims to remember the innocent lives lost and further emphasize the impact of the tragic events that unfolded in Erbil.
