President Nechirvan Barzani held a meeting with the Azerbaijani Ambassador to Iraq, Nasir Mammadov, in Erbil on Tuesday afternoon. Their discussion primarily focused on the latest steps to establish the Azerbaijani representation in the Kurdistan Region. Additionally, the two engaged in talks regarding the facilitation of direct flights between Azerbaijan, Iraq, and the Kurdistan Region.

During the meeting, both sides reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening bilateral relations. They also explored potential job opportunities and investment prospects for the private sector and Azerbaijani companies in Iraq and the Kurdistan Region. Furthermore, cooperation in the cultural domain was also highlighted.
