During a recent visit to Kurdistan24 News Room, Ari Nanakali, a prominent member of the Central Committee of the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP), underscored the significant trust Prime Minister Masrour Barzani commands among the citizens of Kurdistan. Nanakali praised Barzani's steadfast commitment to fulfilling promises made to the people, both domestically and in dealings with Baghdad.

Nanakali lauded Barzani's resilience in pursuing political and diplomatic avenues to secure the rights and financial entitlements of the Kurdistan Region. He highlighted the challenges faced by the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG), particularly regarding salary disbursements, but commended Barzani's wise policies and diplomatic approach in addressing these issues.

In response to recent salary concerns, Prime Minister Masrour Barzani announced on Wednesday (March 27, 2024) that the KRG had decided to disburse February salaries and implement measures to alleviate the economic burden on the people of the Kurdistan Region. These measures include providing land to government employees, discounts on utility bills, traffic fines, meat import fees, parallel study fees in public universities, water charges, and municipal fees.

Barzani expressed hope that these actions would aid the Kurdish people during these challenging times and thanked them for their resilience. He also expressed optimism about resolving outstanding issues with the federal government, aiming for improved relations and stability in the Kurdistan Region's financial situation.

The announcement comes amidst ongoing efforts by the KRG to address economic challenges and ensure the welfare of its citizens. With Prime Minister Barzani's leadership and the support of the Kurdish people, there is optimism for a brighter future in the Kurdistan Region.
