General Body of Tourism in Kurdistan Region set a strategic plan to develop the tourism sector in the region in 2012.

The Tourism Body started to implement the strategic plan , and 9 committees were formed to develop different aspects in tourism sector , head of the Body Mawlawe Jabbar said.

He clarified that tourism sector witnessed a remarkable development in 2011 compared to previous years, and the number of tourists increased by 20 percent.
