Seven Iraqi weightlifters qualified for London 2012 Paralympics
- Seven Iraqi weightlifters have qualified for the London 2012 Paralympics, the head of the Iraqi paralympic committee stated today.
Qahtan Tayeh al-Nuaimi said the committee received today the names of the qualified players from the international committee responsible for organizing the paralympics event.

The competitors are Thaer Abbas, Faris Saadoun, Hussein Ali, Hassan Karam, Taresh Jabbar, Houda Mahdi and Thekra Zaki.

"The paralympics will use all its efforts to focus on our qualified players in all other activities to achieve better results, especially at the level of the international Olympic medals where we received five medals in previous participation," said Nuaimi.

The seven lifters qualified in light of the advanced scores they achieved in Arabic, continental and international tournaments for the London 2012 Paralympics qualifiers.
