Federal Council of Ministers in its ordinary session on Tuesday , approved recommendation by Ministry of Foreign Affairs in opening a consulate of Swedish Kingdom in Erbil , the Capital of Kurdistan Region .

Spokesman of the Federal government Ali al- Dabbagh , in a press statement said that the approval comes in the framework of the government’s effort to improve diplomatic ties with all world states .
