British Minister for Universities and Science praises UKH Standards
The British Minister of State for Universities and Science, The Right Honourable David Willetts paid a visit to the University of Kurdistan Hewler on Wednesday 4th of April. Mr. Willetts praised UKH’s standards and hoped that it can be exported to the other public universities in the Region.
The Minister arrived in the Kurdistan Region on Wednesday on an official visit.
In addition to meeting with the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Serwan Baban, and other senior staff of UKH and Mr. David Hall, Registrar of the University of Leicester, he also made a tour of the University campus where he saw a range of facilities and University library. The Minister stated how impressed he was by the developments at UKH.
Regarding the upcoming agreement between UKH and the University of London, which is scheduled for May, the Minister expressed his admiration for the collaboration and stressed that the unique project will further boost UKH's academic standards at a truly international level.
Mr. Willetts expressed his willingness to assist UKH in any way he is able with regard to improvements in other areas.
