KRG denies plans to discuss political crisis in Baghdad
Kurdistan Region Cabinet Secretary Muhamad al-Qaradaghi has denied that his government has created a delegation to visit Baghdad and discuss the political situation in Iraq.
AKnews reported earlier today that a Baghdad source revealed plans to send a delegation, headed by KRG President Massoud al-Barzani to Baghdad to discuss the political crisis with Kurdish representatives in the Iraqi capital city.

Qaradaghi told AKnews: "At yesterday's Cabinet meeting, nothing about creating a delegation for visiting Baghdad was mentioned".

Political tension and security breeches flooded Iraq just days after the departure of US forces on December 18, last year.

The political crisis deteriorated after an an arrest warrant against Vice President Tareq al-Hashemi was issued and Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki demanded that the Council of Representatives dismiss the Prime Minister's deputy, Saleh al-Mutlaq.

The Iraqi Supreme Judiciary Council issued an arrest order against Hashemi on December 19, 2011, on charges of terrorism after his guards confessed that the political was involved in series of attacks.

Hashemi denied the charges and fled to Kurdistan Region.
