Turkish army forces started shelling Deraluk district in the Kurdistan Region early this morning.

District resident and journalist Mahmoud Nheli told AKnews that Turkish artilleries bombed Rashava, Zley, Siry and Pshta Hitite villages at 5.00am.

The shelling continued for two hours and the full extent of the damage is currently unclear.

The villages were recently evacuated, according to the source.
