The KRG Minister of Martyrs’ Affairs and a delegation from the ministry visited Netherlands and Britain for talks on establishing Kurdish genocide recognition organization.

‘’ Our intentions on visiting Netherlands and Britain were solely for establishing a Kurdish genocide recognition organization. We believe steps have been taken in exposing the Kurdish genocide to the rest of the world through conferences and seminars, but we think it necessary to take a further step in establishing an organization on the matter,’’ the Minister of Martyrs’ Affairs informed PUKmedia.

The Kurdish genocide or Anfal Campaign was conducted by Ali Hassan Al-Majid in the final stages of the Iraq-Iran war. The attacks were carried out between 1986 and 1989 and concluded in 1988.
