More electricity repair centers to open in Erbil
The Kurdistan Region's Deputy Prime Minister Imad Ahmed said the government will open more electricity repair centers in Erbil and the projects will be implemented quickly.
Ahmed met with Erbil’s electricity directorate and Erbil governor Nawzad Hadi to discuss the electricity condition in the province.

Lately Erbil citizens have been receiving fewer hours of electricity due to the heat. Electricity motors and generators break down because of high power demands, according to statement from Kurdistan Regional government.

Ahmed asked the directorate to use all their effort to fix the electricity shortage and distribute electricity equally to Erbil neighborhoods.

The deputy also asked Erbil citizens to use less electricity daily. Ahmed stressed the need to have an awareness campaign about electricity usage in the region.
