Iraqiya renews call to accelerate interrogation of PM Maliki
Iraqiya List said Thursday that its MPs insist on calling for the rapid interrogation of Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki in the Council of Representatives.
The list said in a statement that its leader Ayad Allawi yesterday met MPs from his coalition and discussed the internal and regional situation.

The participants stressed the need to expedite the process of questioning the PM following constitutional and democratic methods.

According to the statement, Allawi stressed the need to unite and confront all attempts to harm the unity of Iraq and the Iraqi national project, and the intimidation and temptation that the MPs face.

The attendees also condemned the unstable security situation and the suffering of citizens because of the recent bomb blasts that they say the government is responsible for.

According to the statement they also stressed the need to release innocent detainees that Iraqiya have support for several months now, and to accelerate the transfer of Iraqis in Syria to Iraq.
