On the evening of May 23, 2013, Vice President of the United States, Joe Biden held a telephone conversation with Kurdistan region President Masoud Barzani .

During the conversation, they exchange views on the crisis facing Iraq’s political process and region and both sides stressed relations between Kurdistan Region and the US and ways to further promoting these relations.

Mr. Biden also expressed his deepest condolences on the death of President Barzani’s Sister .
