Egypt negotiates to deliver natural gas to homes in Iraq and Kurdistan
Egypt Gas Co. announced on Tuesday, conducting negotiations with the Iraqi Oil Ministry to agree on a number of projects, including the delivery of gas to homes.

“There are intensive contacts underway with the Iraqi Oil Ministry, to agree on the company's participation in the reconstruction of Iraq through the implementation of the company for a number of projects to deliver gas to homes,” The head of Gas Company, Fouad Rashad said in a statement briefed by “Shafaq News”.

“An Egyptian delegation from the Company visited Iraq to study, and access all the data of the agreement”.

“The company is looking to participate in the delivery of natural gas to homes in Iraq and Kurdistan,” he added.

According to oil and gas experts and specialists, Iraq has the tenth largest natural gas reserves in the world, and the majority of gas concentrated in the oil fields located south of Iraq, such as Rumaila , West Qurna and Zubair.

In spite of that, this great wealth suffer from waste at the moment, as oil production from these fields concomitant in generating massive amounts of this precious gas, which is being wasted as a result of its burning , which loses the state more than 10 million $ per day of natural resources.
