President Masoud Barzani received a high-level Iraqi delegation from Baghdad headed by Mr. Khodair al-Khozaei, Iraq's Vice President.


The delegation consisted of representatives from several Iraqi political parties, including al-Da'wa Party, the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq, the Sadrist Movement, and the Fadhila Party.

During the meeting, Vice President Khozaei briefed the President on the latest developments regarding the national reconciliation efforts which were started two months ago by the Vice President. Mr. al-Khozaei also made reference to the importance of reaching an agreement between all Iraqi political groups before they set a date for a conference for reconciliation.

For his part President Barzani welcomed the delegation and expressed optimism about the initiatives taken by Vice President Khozaei, adding that such initiatives have the potential to move Iraq's political process forward. He also expressed his support for this initiative and any efforts that can lead to reconciliation in Iraq.
