President Massoud Barzani received Zaza Kandelaki, Ambassador of Georgia to Iraq on Monday, in Salahuddin.

During the meeting, the Georgian Ambassador to Iraq praised President Barzani's historic struggle and the sacrifices of the people of Kurdistan. He also expressed his country's desire to develop economic and trade relations with the Kurdistan Region and the establishment of the country's Honorary Consulate in the city of Erbil.

Meanwhile, President Barzani expressed his satisfaction with the relations between the Kurdistan Region and Georgia and hoped that those relations would move forward.
