President Massoud Barzani received, on Sunday, in Salahadin, the head of the "United Iraqi" (Lil-Iraq Muttehidun) party, Osama al-Nujaifi.

The meeting discussed the latest Iraqi political developments and highlighted the upcoming Iraqi elections, stressing the need to hold elections on time. The two sides also expressed their satisfaction with the value that the international community attaches to the upcoming Iraqi elections.

The situation in Nineveh Governorate was another pillar of the meeting, and the two sides stressed the need to strengthen the foundations of a civil and democratic state in Iraq.
