Iraqi media reported that the Ain al-Assad base in Anbar Governorate was subjected to a sudden missile attack, which led to a major security move.

Al-Arabiya network stated that, as a quick reaction, the authorities ordered the closure of the Al-Baghdadi area in Anbar, after the missile attack on the base.

According to the Iraqi media, the attack on the Ain al-Assad base in Anbar was carried out with two missiles, and no party has claimed responsibility for the attack.

According to what was reported, the first missile that targeted the Ain al-Assad base in Anbar Governorate was lost and fell within its vicinity.

The security forces found the second missile, which was intended to be launched, in Al-Shuhada neighborhood in Al-Baghdadi area.

This is not the first targeting with missiles of the Ain al-Assad base, where the American forces are present.
