On Tuesday, Mr. Nechirvan Barzani, President of the Kurdistan Region, attended the Middle East Peace and Security Forum organized by the American University of Kurdistan in Dohuk.

The President of Iraq, Barham Salih, the Speaker of the Parliament of Kurdistan, Rawaz Faeq, the Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Region, Masrour Barzani, and a number of officials from the Kurdistan Region and Iraq, in addition to foreign guests, attended the forum.

The President of Kurdistan Region spoke about the importance of peace and security in the world and drew the public's attention to the fact that security has great meanings and wished security in all respects.

Regarding Iraq, the President of the Kurdistan Region said that we have a lot of responsibilities on our shoulders and a long way to go before we can maintain security, even though we defeated the terrorist organization ISIS with the help of international coalition.

The President of the Kurdistan Region spoke about the importance of ensuring security and said that we need everyone's cooperation and we will all benefit from that.

And on the role of the Kurds in the region, the President of the Kurdistan Region said that the Kurds in the region should not be isolated, but rather they should be included. According to their roles, they should be allowed to participate and participate in the decision-making process.

Finally, the President of the Kurdistan Region affirmed that we in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq will always remain the cause of peace, and that we will remain the main cause and factor of stability in this region.
