On the occasion of the first day of Muharram and the Islamic New Year, I congratulate all Muslims in Kurdistan, Iraq and around the world. I hope that the New Year brings Kurdistan Region, Iraq and the world success and prosperity, peace and stability.

On this holy occasion, we celebrate the culture of peaceful coexistence and solidarity and reassure all ethnic and religious communities that the Kurdistan Region will remain a land of tolerance and mutual acceptance.
