Kurdish Diplomacy Week Kicks Off in Erbil

Erbil, Kurdistan Region - The Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG), in collaboration with academic institutions in the region, inaugurated the Kurdish Diplomacy Week on a Sunday in a bid to chart a comprehensive diplomacy roadmap for the Kurdistan Region, addressing the Kurdish cause and the rights of its people. The first session of this symposium took place in Erbil and was co-hosted by the University of Salahaddin, attracting participation from government officials and prominent academics.

According to reports by Kurdistan 24, the symposium is set to unfold across various cities in the region, including Sulaymaniyah, Duhok, and Halabja, in the days ahead. These events will see local universities join forces with government officials to further discuss and shape the conference agenda.

Notably, representatives from the Kurdistan Regional Government stationed abroad have also joined the event, emphasizing its significance on the international stage.

The primary objective of the Kurdish Diplomacy Week is to establish a strategic and cohesive diplomacy framework, which will serve as a guiding path for the Kurdistan Region's future diplomatic efforts. In addition, the symposium seeks to address key issues related to the Kurdish cause and advocate for the rights of the Kurdish people on the global platform.

As discussions unfold throughout the week, participants will work together to formulate a comprehensive strategy that not only advances the interests of the Kurdistan Region but also contributes to the broader understanding of the Kurdish issue in the international arena.
