On Wednesday, February 29, in Bayan Palace in Kuwait, Hoshiyar Zebari, Minister of Foreign Affairs delivered the Emir of Kuwait Sheikh Sabah al- Ahmad al- Jabber al- Sabah , a letter of invitation to attend the Arab Summit scheduled to be held in Baghdad in March.

The Emir of the State of Kuwait welcomed the invitation and stressed his keenness to participate in Baghdad summit in person.

The two sides discussed Iraqi-Kuwaiti relations and stressed the necessity to resolve all outstanding issues to serve joint interests of both countries .

Upcoming visit of Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al- Maliki to the State of Kuwait was another issue discussed in the meeting.
